"This is an entertainer who must be seen, and must be heard! I've been in the music business for over 30 years, and have never seen anyone captivates a crowd like Cef Michael. The people fall in love with him, his passion, and his story!" Dave LaChance, Intellectual Music Group (IMG).
Nobody know what that "It" is, but Cef has it. He began playing with local bands in 2005 as a hobby. His first band Rented Mule, played to party crowds across Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati, and ignited a fire inside Cef that would not go out. He realized quickly that he had found his passion, performing and writing.
Cef lost everything he owned as the real estate market collapsed. After 10 years of 60 hour weeks, he had no money, no assets. "I decided then, if I was gonna be broke, I was gonna be broke doing what I love!". It was on his 36th birthday, that he made to move to Nashville.
His goal was to make enough money performing, so he could stay in Nashville and write. Never did he imagine that two years later, he would be performing all over the country in some of the nations best musical venues! He is now featured in Las Vegas every 6-8 weeks, in many of the Toby Keith venues nationwide, every Sunday night at Crossroads in Nashville, and various festivals and fairs nationwide.
He has opened for Casey James, Thomas Rhett, Colt Ford, Trailer Choir, Steve Azar, Chris Cagle, Tracey Lawrence, and Josh Thompson, while playing the side stage at Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Deirks Bentley, Sugarland and many more.
Cef Michael's following grows each day from coast to coast. Some of his largest support comes from California, Nevada, Wisconsin, Alabama, Ohio, and of course his home state of Kentucky.
542 Miles is Cef's debut album. Several of the tracks have been getting airplay in various markets across the US. It was a small station in Vevay Indiana that gave Cef his first spins. After his CD sat on the program director's desk for several weeks, Adam from K95.9 The Froggy, finally gave it a listen. As soon as he heard the CD, he tracked Cef down on the phone and invited him in for an interview. "I"ve had hundreds, maybe thousands of CD's come across my desk. CD's like this don't just come across your desk!", said Adam. "Pure country with heart!"
There have been countless emails, Facebook posts, texts and calls from fans that have shared how much 542 Miles touched their lives. This something for everyone album has developed a fan base with ages from 7 - 70. People that have not bought music or listened to CDs in years, are playing this CD over and over.
An XM Sirius radio representative, along with several of her co-workers, recently caught a Cef Michael show in Las Vegas. "I can't believe your not signed, and why are we not playing your music?" Cef laughed and simply said, "I don't have an answer."
That's the response Cef gets after every show. Whether there are 25 people in the room or 25,000, he brings a passion to the stage that most people have never witnessed. His down home boyish smile, combined with a genuine love for music and people, is what continues to drawl in fans and captivate audiences.
We invite you to "like" his Facebook page and you will witness first hand the loyalty and passion of his fans!!
I just want to say thank you for stopping by my website! I never dreamed this would go this far, and I am so thankful for all of the support and love you show me. Without you, none of this would have been possible. I don't know where this journey will take me, but the ride has been amazing so far. People talk about "making it". I can say this, I have made it, because I get to do what I love for a living. Its not always the best living, but I will trade happiness for money anyway. I urge everyone to look at their lives and evaluate. If your happy, I'm happy for you, but if your not, please go find whatever it is that makes you happy. I can't explain the feeling I get by being paid to follow my dreams. If I could give one gift to the world, it would be the power to dream as adults! Thank you all so very much!!! Hope to see you soon!!
